Birchbox teams up with Walgreens to become your one-stop shop
So long are the days when running weekend errands meant multiple different stops, more than a few subway rides and an extra-long commute. Birchbox is simplifying your shopping game with their new collaboration with Walgreens -- and yes, that means Walgreens has instantly become a one-stop shop for many of our daily needs.
The online retailer, who has two stores in New York City and Paris, is in the process of launching in 11 different Walgreens stores (and possibly more to come!) with a distinct and elevated design, separate from the pharmacy's pre-existing beauty offerings.
That means stores across New York, Chicago, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, Dallas and Miami will soon feature an exclusive beauty retail experience, complete with a dedicated Birchbox consultant and a curated mix of beauty cult favorites and indie beauty brands for shoppers to choose from.
"We think that the opportunity to serve the everyday consumer is a very big opportunity and we're looking at where and how fast can we do it," explained the brand's Chief Executive Katia Beauchamp to The Business of Fashion.
Customers have the ability to build their own Birchbox by mixing and matching different products, or sign up for a Birchbox subscription, both of which have become two of the brand's signature offerings over its 8-year history.
With over 40 different prestige brands offered -- including Huxley, COOLA and Winky Lux -- Birchbox has both simplified and elevated the shopping experience for the beauty lover.
