Alice

This one was a firm favorite for Kate Middleton’s next mini majesty, but since the Duke and Duchess welcomed a baby boy, then it could still be a royal contender for their niece.

Henry

Interesting fact: Prince Harry’s name is actually Henry. And Henry Junior has such a nice ring to it, don’t you think?

Elizabeth

This nod to Harry’s grandmother (and the future great-grandmother of the couple’s first child) is definitely in the running.

Albert

Not only was Harry's grandfather named Albert (affectionately called Bertie for short), but it’s also his middle name. And how adorable would a Prince Bertie be?

Rachel

OK, so this one doesn’t have any royal heritage, but it is Meghan’s given first name and was also the name of the character that she played on Suits for seven years, so it’s not totally far-fetched.

Arthur

As in, King Arthur (the famous literary character and actual historical figure). Clive Owen could be godfather.

Ellen

The backstory: Meghan ran into Ellen DeGeneres at a dog shelter in L.A., where the TV host promptly convinced her to adopt her very first puppy, the adorable Bogart. Not a traditional name perhaps, but she’s basically Hollywood royalty so we’re sure the queen would approve.

Spencer

Princess Diana’s maiden name and according to the biography, Prince Harry: Brother, Soldier, Son, also her nickname for her youngest son (“my little Spencer”) because his red hair comes from her side of the family. Aww...

Wallis

Well, if Meghan is going to be the first American to marry into the British royal family since Wallis Simpson (who Edward VIII abdicated the throne to marry in 1936), then hey, why not?

Diana

Could Harry and Meghan decide to honor the people’s princess by naming their daughter after her? Unlikely, although a U.K. newspaper poll revealed that this was the public’s number one choice. (No pressure, guys.)

Tig

Markle created the now-defunct lifestyle website called The Tig, (named after the red wine Tignanello), which she ran for three years. Could work for a boy or girl, no?

Serena

For a future princess, why not name her after Meghan’s closest friend and confidante, Serena Williams? (Yes, really.) With a name like that (and that whole royal thing), she’s guaranteed to be destined for greatness.
