Princess Beatrice is a modern maid of honor at Princess Eugenie's wedding

Updated

Looking sophisticated and chic, Princess Beatrice looked beautiful in blue on Friday morning at her sister Princess Eugenie's wedding to Jacks Brooksbank.

Taking place at St. George's Chapel, a part of Windsor Castle, the maid of honor wore a royal blue Ralph & Russo skirt suit. The hue came as an unexpected choice as previous maids of honor at royal weddings have opted for cream looks, a la Pippa Middleton at Duchess Kate's 2011 wedding.

Beatrice finished off her look with a bold indigo headband by Sarah Cant, a delicate bee brooch, a lilac clutch and matching lilac pumps.

Sitting front row for her younger sister's big day, Princess Beatrice sat next to her mother Sarah Ferguson, who wore a jewel-toned look of her own, and cousin Peter Phillips, Zara Tindall's brother. Behind the immediate family sat cousins of the bride Prince William, Duchess Kate, Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan.

The ceremony was televised on Friday morning and was attended by a slew of royals and celebrities.
