Christina Aguilera's complete style transformation

Updated

For as long as we can remember, Christina Aguilera's style has been as unique as her voice.

The singer shot to stardom when she was just a young tween on the "Mickey Mouse Club" and soon found her footing in the music industry. Her bold pitch cemented Aguilera as a teen icon in the 90s, with a voice as recognizable then as it is today.

In honor of her eighth album and "Liberation" tour, we're throwing it back to the star's epic style transformation, from belly-baring tops to red carpet gowns.

Her "Genie in a Bottle" days saw a plethora of crop tops paired with leather pants, bandanas, satin skirts and more crop tops, while the early 2000s were filled with leather chaps, scandalous body suits and cornrows. Following her "Stripped" years, Aguilera turned to Marilyn Monroe for some style inspiration, emulating the icon's old Hollywood blonde curls, bold lip and flirty dresses.

Today, the mom-of-two has taken a more sophisticated approach to red carpet fashion, trading in her braids and bandanas for elegant designer gowns. Scroll through above to see the star's incredible transformation!
