Sarah Hyland's complete style transformation

Since being cast on Modern Family at 19, Sarah Hyland has had very few slip-ups on the red carpet.

She appeared on the carpet years before 2009, but her role as the wild Haley Dunphy on the ABC sitcom really shot her to stardom. Since then, we've seen the actress find her footing in Hollywood, a process that's been quite transformative for her style.

What began as rock t-shirts, ripped jeans and leather jackets soon evolved to include sophisticated and drool-worthy red carpet gowns. And unlike party-girl Haley, Hyland's been a little less provocative with her sartorial choices in the past.

But that's changed in recent years. The now-27 year old has been much more daring in her red carpet appearances, ready to tackle cleavage-bearing silhouettes, crop tops and slits. Her appearance at a 2016 Spike TV red carpet event combined all three (held together by one clasp!) and is perhaps one of her more scandalous looks to date.

She's opted for more couture, high fashion silhouettes for her recent red carpet appearances. Our favorite so far? The gold Ermanno Scervino dress that she sported to Vanity Fair's Oscars bash in 2016. The shimmery gown, paired with Lorraine Schwartz jewels, completely blew us away!
