Meghan Markle steps out in Oscar de la Renta at the Coach Core Awards

Updated

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex kicked off their week at Leicestershire's Loughborough University on Monday afternoon to attend the annual Coach Core Awards. Established by Prince Harry, Duchess Kate and Prince William through the Royal Foundation in 2012, the foundation seeks to help adults find employment in the sports community.

To celebrate the apprenticeship, Meghan and Harry spoke with various young athletes and their coaches being honored by the organization. Marathoner Paula Radcliffe and tennis champion Laura Robson were just some of the athletes the couple met.

The duchess, sporting a navy Oscar de la Renta wrap shirt and flared black Altuzarra trousers, also took part in a training exercise with the athletes. Normally a fashion faux pas, Meghan was able to pull off the black-and-blue combo perfectly!

It marks the beginning of a busy week for the duchess, who will step out for her first solo engagement on Tuesday. Meghan will attend the opening of the Royal Academy of Arts' exhibit "Oceania," which will feature works of art from the Pacific.
