Model Slick Woods goes into labor walking Savage x Fenty runway show at NYFW

Rihanna's New York Fashion Week show on Wednesday night generated a lot of buzz. From its diverse casting to its powerful setup, the star's Savage x Fenty collaboration was definitely one of NYFW's most memorable productions.

Gigi and Bella Hadid led the pack during the jungle-themed runway show, alongside model Slick Woods. The 22-year-old beauty was 9 months pregnant when she hit the stage for Rihanna's new lingerie line, later revealing that she actually went into labor during the show.

"A lewk, 14 hours of labor, and A king is born. This is the face of a WOMAN IN LABOR, we hold shit down most of us don’t even know how much we’re going through, I’m here to say I CAN DO WHATEVER THE F*** I WANT WHENEVER THE F*** I WANT AND SO CAN YOU," she wrote on Instagram.

Paramedics reportedly arrived to help the model backstage and she was taken to the nearest hospital, where she welcomed Saphir with partner (and fellow model) Adonis Bosso.

"Slick and I have been working non-stop throughout her pregnancy from Fenty x Puma to Fenty Beauty," explained Rihanna to Elle. "I promise you. I’m not the type to judge any woman about any part of her womanhood, especially motherhood because that’s like the VIP of womanhood," she asserted.

"I have a lot of respect for Slick and every other pregnant woman working until their due date. I’ll never tell her she can’t do a show unless she tells me I can’t because I’m about to drop in a second," the star concluded.

Congrats, mama!
