NYFW: Tory Burch's Spring 2019 collection inspires major wanderlust

Updated

While summer may be on its way out, thanks to Tory Burch's Spring 2019 collection we are already dreaming of our next sunny getaways and warm weather adventures.

The designer debuted her latest collection in the garden of the Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum located on Manhattan's Upper East Side on Friday morning.

According to Burch's show notes, her parents' annual travels served as the primary inspiration for the collection: "Spring/Summer 2019 brings that influence to the runway through unique details that recall their trips: silhouettes with a bohemian ease, balancing volume and tailoring; needlepoint and camera bags; well-worn hats and woven shoes."

While the collection's designs showcased mostly shades of cream and other neutral tones, pops of the classic colors that the designer is known to favor -- greens, blues and oranges -- were incorporated throughout. From tangerine-hued knits to billowy white and black shirt-dresses, the vibe was definitely that of a well-traveled woman, who looks decidedly stylish no matter the destination.

The show also brought several famous faces to the front row. Tory Burch's lineup of celebs included Tiffany Haddish, Katie Holmes, Julianne Moore, Gemma Chan and Karolina Kurkova to name a few.
