It's easy to watch an awards show or scroll through Instagram assuming that your favorite Hollywood stars just dished out thousands of dollars on hair treatments, cuts and color. That very well might have been the case, but at home, their bathroom shelves might also be stocked with $10 shampoos and $12 de-frizzing serums.

Celebrity hairstylist Kieran McKenna, who runs a popular namesake salon in NYC, knows all too well that high prices don't always mean higher quality. We sat down with the hairstylist to talk about his favorite affordable drugstore beauty products all under $30.
