Chloe Grace Moretz goes makeup free in untouched photograph: See the stunning pic!

Chloe Grace Moretz is baring it all .. sort of.

The 21-year-old actress was one of the six international celebrities who took part in skincare brand SK-II's newest #BareSkinProject. Moretz was challenged by the brand to be photographed with no makeup, filters or retouching while only using the brand's Facial Treatment Essence (or "Miracle Water" as many fans call it) -- and the results were nothing short of inspiring, empowering and stunning.

"It’s an opportunity I’ve never been given -- I’ve been bare skin in daily life and even some movie roles, but never in a campaign," Moretz said of her new SK-II partnership in an exclusive interview with AOL Lifestyle. "That opportunity to be transparent with my fanbase and consumers is exciting and so in-line with the progression of what I want to be as a woman and as an artist."

And while Moretz has spent years in the spotlight (she began her acting career at only 7 years old), she hasn't let the criticism of the media or internet trolls faze her. In fact, I could instantly tell that Moretz exuded a self-confidence that most 21-year-olds don't have as soon as she introduced herself to me. The well-spoken actress is truly wise beyond her years. But according to the blonde beauty, her seemingly inherent self-confidence doesn't come naturally.

"It is something that you have to work for. Sadly, it’s not completely inherent in this day and age ... we have to educate ourselves on what makes us happy or what makes us tick," said Moretz.

She continued: "It's also so important to take care of yourself. For me, skincare is a major way to give time to myself."

But what does Moretz's beauty routine look like? Surprisingly, it's "really, really simple."

The actress revealed that she washes her face twice a day with only olive oil or honey. The only product she's recently integrated into her skincare routine is SK-II's Facial Treatment Essence, which she said is so "instinctual" for her given the product's simplicity.

"All you have to do is put some in your hand and dab it into your face and that’s it!" said Moretz.

Given her jet-setting lifestyle, the last thing the actress wanted was to be stuck hunched over a sink for an hour every day putting treatments on her face.

It's safe to say that Moretz, whose beauty icons include Lauren McCall and Alicia Keys, is starting a revolution of her own with her #BareSkinProject. The actress unveiled her untouched photograph to her 14 million followers, and it has garnered nearly one million likes in just 12 hours.

"And here it is!!! #NoMakeup, just bare skin prepped with my new favorite #MiracleWater from @skii #BareSkinProject absolutely no skin retouching!!!" Moretz captioned the snapshot.

As part of the campaign, the actress also took part in a short film that goes behind-the-scenes of the #BareSkinProject. The most touching moment? When Chloe saw her unfiltered photograph for the first time. You can watch the sweet moment here:

For Moretz, her latest partnership is just one of the many exciting things she's working on. The star is releasing three movies by the end of 2018 (!!!), including "The Miseducation of Cameron Post," which won the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival.
