For as long as Maddie Ziegler has been in the spotlight, it’s hard to believe that the former Dance Moms star is only 15 years old. But in her latest glam photo posted on Instagram, the teenager is looking all grown up thanks to a dramatic new hairstyle.

While she’s kept her hair its natural color and styled long with loose curls for years, Ziegler switched things up recently. The dancer not only dyed her hair blonde but she also cut off multiple inches, switching her side part to the middle, and opting for messy waves over polished ones.

Giving credit to her longtime makeup artist and hair stylist Tonya Brewer, Ziegler captioned her Instagram photo, “you got me gurll.” Everyone certainly agrees that Brewer knows what she’s doing with the dancer’s mature look — but let’s take a moment to scroll through memory lane at her past looks.

Back in 2013, when the star was just 11 years old, she took to her Instagram account to share a professional headshot. With a little bit of eye liner, some gloss, and curls in her hair, Ziegler already looked a bit beyond her age. Yet, she continued to experiment as the years went on.

Had so much fun last night! ❤️

Throughout her career, no matter what style and beauty changes she’s made, she’s always strived to stay true to herself.

“I mean, I have people telling me that I’ve gained weight,” she says. “Even if I have, I’m 15, don’t say that to me. It wrecks your confidence and then you start to believe these things. But it’s so important to be yourself.”
