Kate Middleton slammed by critics for letting Prince George play with a toy gun
As one of the most famous mothers in the world, every parenting choice that Kate Middleton makes ends up in the spotlight. One recent decision has the royal mom under fire: people are outraged she let her 4-year-old son play with a toy gun.
The Duchess of Cambridge and mother of three was sitting outdoors with her kids Charlotte and George on Sunday, while her her husband played in a celebrity polo match to benefit cancer research and the homeless. George was photographed playing with a toy handgun with another little boy, while sitting in his mother’s lap.

As you would expect, reactions to the photos were highly divisive. Many parents are against allowing children to play with any kind of toy gun, especially in the wake of tragic shootings.
Completely tone deaf of Kate Middling to give Prince George a toy gun. Doesn’t she read the papers in her own country with all the gun deaths? If the Duchess of Sussex had done this, she would be excoriated in the media! Lucky George isn’t black or police would have shot him.

However some people defended Kate and her son’s choice of toy:
Give me a break. Kids have always played with toy guns. So would you have the British government ban toy guns also?

Its a child playing with a water pistol for goodness sake and can in no way be compared to the wholesale slaughter that goes on in the USA under their right to bear arms tosh.

nothing wrong with this at all, he will be properly educated on safety, the royals hunt and serve in the military. Guns will be in their future. Or look at it like this. It is none of your business how someone else rises their child.

It should also be noted that many royals have grown up around guns and some have even served in the military—like George’s father Prince William. Both George’s dad and his Uncle Harry are also avid hunters.
“The Royals have either served in the armed forces or are married to someone who has served,” explained Kelly Lynch, managing editor of Dailybreak and royal family expert, in an interview with Yahoo Lifestyle. “They’ve learned to respect firearms as deadly weapons, and hopefully teach their children about gun safety from a young age.”
While people will always remain divided on the toy gun debate, we can all agree that Kate should be able to use her own judgement and make the parenting decisions that she sees fit for her kids. Hopefully, the next time she makes a public appearance people won’t so quick to judge and shame her online.
