Something blue! Meghan Markle pays tribute to Princess Diana (again!) with accessory

Updated

Meghan Markle made sure she followed one American tradition on her wedding day.

The bride had something new (her Givenchy and Stella McCartney wedding gowns, among other things) and something borrowed (a tiara, on loan from Queen Elizabeth). But how about something blue?

When the Duchess of Sussex was seen leaving for her evening reception at Frogmore House wearing a stunning Stella McCartney gown, we couldn't help but notice the large, emerald-cut aquamarine ring on her right hand. It turns out the blue-hued accessory once belonged to Princess Diana, husband Prince Harry's late mother.

The former actress also included another blue-hued detail in her evening reception look -- the soles of her Aquazzura heels were colored in a blue tint.

Earlier in the day, Meghan honored Princess Diana in the most tear-jerking way by including her favorite flowers, Forget-Me-Nots, in her bespoke bridal bouquet.

Meghan and Harry pulled off the wedding of the decade on Saturday. From the star-studded guest list to the personal touches (including Meghan's veil), every aspect of the big day was flawlessly executed. For more on the wedding, watch the video above!
