Met Gala 2018: The floral trend that took over the red carpet

This year's Met Gala red carpet had just about everything: new couple debuts, weird and wild outfits and outlandish headpieces. It also seemed to be overflowing with one trend in particular: roses.

The theme of this year's Met Gala theme was "Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination," so having several celebrities incorporate roses into their looks should come as no surprise given the flower's religious symbolism. After all, roses are typically associated with the Virgin Mary as well as the rosary in the Catholic Church.
