Melania Trump steals the show in figure-accentuating Derek Lam shirtdress

Updated

As far as style staples go, Melania Trump can't live without her sunglasses and stilettos. But it seems the first lady also has an affinity for shirtdresses -- and we gotta say, she's on to something.

The first lady stepped out on Wednesday in a striking green belted shirtdress from Derek Lam that she paired with her signature pair of Christian Louboutin stilettos. The dress' matching belt added a polished touch to the already gorgeous look and accentuated her figure perfectly.

The 47-year-old former model was spotted with Japan's first lady Akie Abe for a visit to Loggers' Run Middle School in Boca Raton, Florida, where they hung out with kids and prepared sushi together. The duo also spent about 40 minutes touring the Flagler Museum in Palm Beach.

If you recall, Melania has stepped out in a number of shirtdresses during her tenure as FLOTUS -- the style is both effortless and sophisticated, a bonafide winner for the first lady. She recently wore an Adam Lippes look right before Easter and over the summer she dazzled in a Cefinn dress.
