'Fixer Upper' star Chip Gaines flaunts incredible weight loss -- see the pic!

Go Chip! In January, the "Fixer Upper" star set a New Year's resolution of running a marathon -- and he'll be the first one to tell you that the beginning was rough. Four months later, Chip showed his incredible progress on Magnolia's Instagram. In the photo, the slimmed-down #DemoDay master is fist pumping in a white T-shirt while in the middle of a run.

In a recent interview with Runner's World, Chip revealed that he has not only lost 10 pounds, but he also feels stronger than ever.

"I’m down around 10 pounds," Chip told the publication. "And the fact that I’m not sucking wind at mile one is probably a pretty good sign, too."

He continued: "Let me be the first to tell you that there’s nothing quite like that feeling of surprising yourself with your progress."

Chip has worked his way up to running 15 miles at a time after barely being able to run .2 miles at the start of his journey.

"Monday was my first official day of training, and all I can really say is -- that hurt," Chip, 43, wrote in a blog post in early January. "We set a modest goal of 1.7 miles for my first run ... the only thing I’m absolutely sure of is that I can run .2 miles."

Despite the setback, he served up some major inspiration for all aspiring marathon runners:

"As I work toward this goal of 26.2 miles, the only thing I’m absolutely sure of is that I can run .2 miles. So for every run on my training schedule, I’ll be tacking on that extra .2 -- kind of as a catalyst to remind me that it all starts with the small stuff. I have to remember that no matter what, I can always run .2 further than I think I can. And when race day comes, all I’ll be focused on is the first .2, then the next, and so on."

Chip took his own advice to heart and never gave up, and now he's set to run his first marathon -- the Silo District Marathon -- in May.
