What are Chip and Joanna Gaines going to do after 'Fixer Upper'?

Updated

HGTV's "Fixer Upper" may be coming to an end after five seasons, but it doesn't mean you'll be seeing less of Chip and Joanna Gaines. In fact, it's the complete opposite.

The home renovation duo will be wrapping up their show on Tuesday night, but you better believe they have a lot more projects in the works to fill up their time. First off, they're not leaving the network -- yet. Their spinoff series that focuses on Jo's design process, "Fixer Upper: Behind the Design," premieres on April 10 and will consist of 15 30-minute episodes. For the time being, you can still watch Chip and Jo on television.

April is also a really big month for the Gaines family, particularly for Joanna.

Jo is releasing her cookbook -- "Magnolia Table" -- on April 24 and will include recipes for dinners, after-school snacks and more (you can pre-order your copy here).

The couple also just opened their new Waco-based restaurant, also called Magnolia Table, and if the photos are any indication, it's the perfect Sunday morning brunch spot. On top of their grand opening, Chip and Jo still have their other businesses to take care of -- Magnolia Realty, Magnolia Market at the Silos and Magnolia Journal. And how can we forget about their Target line? Jo recently released a new collection on Easter.

When they announced that they were leaving their show, the Gaines' revealed why:

“I think for a while now, we felt like Season 5 was going to be our final for this chapter,” Joanna said on her blog in September. “We started out as business owners. Our beautiful business here in Waco needs our attention. We need to pour into that as much as we can. We are a family. Our beautiful children are growing up so quickly. Drake is almost a teenager. So I think the idea that we get to kind of step back and just get kind of fresh with vision, get some rest but also just hunker down with our kiddos. [This] is something we’re excited about but sad that this chapter in our lives us coming to an end.”

The couple will soon add to their family, with baby No. 5 -- a boy! -- on the way. Chip and Jo haven't announced a due date, but many speculate a summer arrival. Chip has also been preparing to run his first marathon at the end of May as part of his New Year's resolution.

It's safe to say that Chip and Jo will be plenty busy even without "Fixer Upper" on their plate!
