Can you believe it? Scrunchies are making a comeback for spring!

Updated

Spring is officially here -- and with blooming flowers and sunshine comes the itch for a total hair makeover. Believe it or not, you can totally give your tresses new life without shelling out $400 for a new color or cut.

The hottest hair trends this season?

According to celebrity hairstylist Arsen Gurgov (who calls stars like Emmy Rossum and Hoda Kotb clients), hair accessories are having a "moment."

"I think we will see the return of the scrunchie," Arsen predicted. And we think the stylist to the stars is onto something -- we've seen a number of celebs, from Bella Hadid to Selena Gomez rock the '90s style staple. What's more, we recently saw Supreme Court justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg sporting a scrunchie, meaning the accessory is officially cool again.

If scrunchies aren't your thing, Arsen suggests styling your tresses in a deep side part:

"Side parts are the only kind of part that could go with any face shape. They are very versatile and transformative. The deeper the side part, the more it accentuates the eyes."

From Emma Stone to Taraji P. Henson, celebrities hit the 2018 Oscars red carpet with their tresses styled in a deep side part. Whether you're wearing a low ponytail or rocking some Old Hollywood-inspired waves, a side part is a refreshing change to your look no matter your face shape.

And of course when it comes to the warmer spring and summer months, taking care of your tresses is key -- especially if you have colored hair. So how do you keep your hair looking flawless?

"Wash sand, salt water and chlorinated water out of hair after a swim, and use a weekly moisturizing mask with argan oil on the hair to keep it lustrous during the months when it’s sunny," Arsen said.
