The Crown's Claire Foy steps out in London debuting new bowl haircut

Updated

If you were shocked when Claire Foy chopped off her locks in favor of a chic pixie cut for the season two premiere of The Crown, just wait until you see what the actress looks like now.

The British star took the streets of London last week to debut her new 'do: A very retro-looking bowl cut, complete with bold bangs and shaved sideburns. She polished off the look with a pair of baggy jeans, white Converse high tops and long navy peacoat.

It seemed like the 33-year-old actress could do no wrong in the sartorial and beauty department -- but the new haircut has taken an unexpected turn. While we can only hope it's for a new role, social media wasn't nearly as forgiving.

"But why 😭," wrote one user. "Somebody needs to physically stop me from getting my hair cut like claire foy’s," wrote another.

While Foy is moving on from her acclaimed role as Queen Elizabeth II in The Crown -- it was recently revealed she was paid significantly less than her male co-star Matt Smith -- we're to see much more of the talented star on the big screen. Unsane hits theaters this month, while First Man is currently in post-production.
