Transgender woman known as Tiamat Dragon Lady spends thousands to turn herself into a dragon

An HIV diagnosis changed everything for Richard Hernandez, who has since become Eva Tiamat Medusa, the Tiamat Dragon Lady.

In 1997, Hernandez was working as the vice president at an American bank when she received the grim diagnosis. However, the Texas native was "determined not to die a human," according to The Daily Mail.

Eva believes that after being abandoned by her parents at the age of 5, she was a born-again diamondback snake. It's called trans-speciesism.

"I have two mothers: One is my original birth mother and my second birth is to my reptilian parents, which are the rattlesnakes," she explained.

Since then, she's undergone many surgeries to transform her into a dragon, including cutting off her ears and reshaping her nose. Eva had her tongue split in two, orthodontic surgery, 8 horn-like features attached to her head and tattooed scales on her body, including her face.

“As much awesomeness and goodness there is in humans, compared to other species they are the most destructive and hateful. I decided at that time, that it was time for a change in my life, so I wanted to look like something that wasn’t human," she explained, according to The Sun.

She's even had the whites of her eyes dyed green to match those scales, which she calls her "Medusa green eyes of death." It's estimated that her surgeries have totaled in more than $60,000, and she has plans for more procedures.

Eva said, "I would like for there to be an open dialogue about the world of body modification and understand what it was like to live as a gay-man for 53-years and now as a transsexual woman."
