Meghan Markle's body language reveals what she really thinks of Duchess Kate

Meghan Markle and Duchess Kate made their first-ever work appearance together on Wednesday. And while their fashion made headlines, with Meghan opting for a Jason Wu shirtdress and Kate recycling a Seraphine maternity dress, their body language towards each other was also under scrutiny.

Meghan and Kate appeared onstage at the inaugural Royal Foundation Forum where Meghan expressed her support for the #MeToo and Time's Up campaigns, while Kate shared heartfelt remarks about the importance of mental health.

In an interview with Daily Mail, bestselling author of "The Body Language Bible" Judi James revealed that Meghan and Kate's "fascinating body language" suggests that there could be some "friendly clashes" between the two strong women in the future.

"Meghan in particular seemed all about getting her passionate messages across," said James, "[While] Kate's body language style looks calm but firm and she sat back in her chair while Meghan sat upright and slightly forward."

Communications coach Robin Kermode also put her two cents in, confirming that Meghan is quite a natural in front of the camera.

"Meghan appears very relaxed, with lightly clasped hands. Her chin is low, showing she is confident of her status, with a relaxed hint of a smile."

Kermode added: "Her raised eyebrows shows she is listening carefully. She shows the open, calm posture of someone who is used to, and likes, being filmed."

Meghan and Kate have struck up quite a friendship ever since Markle moved to London, so it's no surprise that the respect they have for each other shone through on stage.

"Meghan's more serious listening face when Kate was talking signaled respect for her message," James said.

Kermode agreed, adding: "Meghan doesn’t appear to be about to interrupt or add, but listens intensely, showing respect for Kate."

According to People, the future sisters-in-law have quickly bonded given their close proximity to one another at Kensington Palace. And with Meghan's upcoming nuptials in May, we're sure that the "Suits" actress has leaned heavily on Kate for advice when it comes to all things royal.

But this isn't the first time that Meghan's body language has been analyzed. During a BBC interview following her engagement announcement, Meghan's actions confirmed what we thought all along -- that she's completely in love with her beau.

According to human behavior expert Susan Constantine-Perfido, the way Meghan holds on to Harry is a sign that she's quite protective of him.

"She's saying, 'I captured him, he belongs to me,'" says Constantine-Perfido. "She is enamored with him and slightly possessive."
