Duchess Kate stuns in green during day trip to Sunderland

Updated

It seems that green is Duchess Kate's color!

Just days after stunning in a hunter green Jenny Packham gown at the 2018 BAFTAs, the royal donned the same color for a day trip to Sunderland with husband Prince William.

The couple paid a visit to the coastal city to help promote Sunderland's vibrant arts and music scene, as well as attend the opening of the Fire Station. The iconic building was recently converted into a hub for the city's artists.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge also geared up in protective helmets and construction gear to tour the Northern Spire. The bridge, a majority of which was funded by the government, took over three years to build and is set to open in the coming months.

Upon their arrival, Kate and Wills spent time with the city's children by watching a gymnastics performance and dance class and sitting in on a storytelling workshop. Kate also asked one of the teens at the Fire Station to design a henna tattoo for her.

Shajida Begum, 18, designed a "black flower with a swirl" on the Duchess' hand, which will peel off in the next few days.

For the outing, the pregnant royal donned a forest green double-breasted Dolce & Gabbana coat, paired with black tights, suede heels and a stylish black clutch.
