NYFW: Leanne Marshall Fall 2018

Updated

Leanne Marshall went for the gold for Fall 2018.

For the Project Runway star's latest ready-to-wear collection, Marshall stuck to her familiar palate of deep bronzes, Easter yellows and Cerulean blues. Presented in a light and bright skylight room at NYFW, the colors danced on the runway, allowing audience members to make the most of Marshall's unique vision.

The designer also dabbled in more neutral palates, such as soft navy, white, black and dusty roses.

Marshall, like in her previous seasons, opted for light and flowy silhouettes. A go-to for the creative, airy chiffon and silk gowns were donned by a diverse group of models who complemented Marshall's creations with outerwear wool and textured belts.

Uncharacteristically, Marshall introduced more risque compilations for her new collection by embracing plunging necklines, thigh-high slits, beaded bandeaus, illusion bodices and deep cutouts. Such an unpredicted, yet welcomed, turn solidifies the-ever changing Marshall as a designer to watch out for in the coming seasons.
