NYFW: J. Mendel's Fall 2018 is straight out of a fairy tale

Attending J. Mendel's Fall 2018 presentation felt as if you were walking into a fairytale.

Against the setting of New York's iconic macaron hot-spot, Ladurée, each of the autumnal designs were confections of their own. "The rich tones of nature during autumn/winter that are expressed in the color palette of Tom Thompson’s paintings are illustrated through gloriously luxurious textiles including embroideries, jacquard chiffons, lamé, mousseline and organza to name a few."

The collection was magnificent to say the least -- the red-carpet-worthy gowns shining as the real stars, covered with intricately beaded details, feathered hems and flowing tulle. Our favorite would have to be the turquoise tulle gown that was tiered to perfection. Fur elements also elevated the beautifully constructed coats in both long and short styles.
