Jenny Packham looks to the stars for Fall/Winter 2018 Collection

Updated

Jenny Packham has done it again. Her Autumn/Winter 2018 collection features the deep colors of far off galaxies and blazes of atomic flame... starbursts made of crystals, and iridescent, liquid fabrics -- it's a collection inspired by the cosmos, and we've never been so excited to look at the stars.

It all starts with a gilded rose gold gown with a low back and soft pleating, followed by a deep red jumpsuit and a polka-dotted cocktail dress. Each look has that quintessential Jenny Packham feel, with a clear connectedness to the inspiration running throughout.

An immediate standout for us is the Esta, an almost grecian-inspired white gown embellished with iridescent gems along the shoulders and neckline to immediately pull it into outerspace. The next look in the collection, the Vela, is one we equally loved -- a gorgeous black gown that perfect evokes the night sky with star bursts made of crystals. And even better? This black gown will also come in white for bridal.

Packham presented her fall collection this season through private appointments and a professional campaign (including a film) in lieu of a traditional runway show, the second time she's chosen to do it this way, and it's a special way to see it.

To be able to get that close to her work is to know the core of what makes Jenny Packham great. Because for her, it's not just about the glitz and glamour (which she does spectacularly well) but it's also about making sure the women wearing her clothes look and feel great. Her gowns are lightweight -- even those covered in embellishment -- and draped perfectly to flatter several silhouettes.

Packham, who as mentioned also does bridal, is arguably the queen of evening wear. No one can present a sparkling or effortlessly flowing gown quite like she can. She's dressed the Duchess of Cambridge for several glamorous occasions, is seen all over the red carpet every single awards season, and is consistently a top pick for brides around the world.

Needless to say, she's at the top of our list, too.
