NYFW: John Elliott debuts his first womenswear collection

Updated

Los Angeles men's designer, John Elliott, debuted his first womenswear collection alongside his newest men's line this morning at New York Fashion Week.

Since forming his eponymous menswear line in the spring of 2012, John Elliott has become a force in the men's street style space. He has also collaborated with Nike in the past, so watching all of the models wear a variety of Nikes down the runway -- ranging from flatforms to the brand's iconic sneakers -- came as no surprise.

Taking place at New York's Spring Studios, the runway was bare except for v-shaped plastic dividers that went well with the show's theme: "The Fall Winter 2018 collection entitled Delirium is inspired by the beauty and confidence of distortion."

The collection was full of bomber jackets, trenches, chic hoodies and several monochromatic looks in a variety of textures. While some runways are filled with pieces that aren't very conducive for walking the everyday streets or heading out to brunch, we could easily see ourselves in each piece of the collection on any given day. See all of the looks from the John Elliott Fall 2018 show in the gallery above.
