NYFW: Brandon Maxwell's Fall 2018 collection is all about 'relaxed glamour'

Updated

For Brandon Maxwell, his Fall 2018 collection is all about "relaxed glamour."

“I’ve been thinking a lot about relaxed glamour,” Maxwell told Vogue. “And that kind of came together in the end because I was relaxed in approaching this collection.”

The location, a theatre overlooking Central Park South, was the perfect backdrop for his fabulous collection filled with stunning jumpsuits, dresses with asymmetrical hemlines and wide-legged trousers in eye-catching hues of neon yellow, bright red and millennial pink.

Cross-body purses (and Swarovski crystal earrings) shaped like pineapples were also one of the many statement-making pieces on Maxwell's runway.

“Pineapples were on my mom’s stationery growing up," the designer explained of the childhood inspiration.

Gigi Hadid closed the show in a sparkling ball skirt paired with a black knit hoodie -- the perfectly grand ending to a perfectly grand collection.
