NYFW: Self-Portrait's Fall 2018 collection is all about the modern woman

Updated

Self-Portrait's Fall 2018 collection is all about the "modern girl."

For his New York Fashion Week show, designer Han Chong debuted pieces that are all about "versatility and layering." According to Chong, a number of dresses can be worn back to front.

Autumnal hues of burnt oranges and reds filled the runways, while flowy ensembles in plaid gave us serious '90s vibes a la Cher Horowitz of "Clueless" fame. Chong added his signature lattice embroidery and lace into the mix, using the Self-Portrait mainstays to add a feminine touch to his leather pieces.

If there's one thing Chong's dresses can do without fail, it's making any woman feel special the moment she slips it on. For his Fall 2018 collection, the Malaysian-born designer opted for silky pieces in pastel blue and cream hues with lace detailing for good measure.

His celebrity clientele includes Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton, so you know his budget-friendly, contemporary pieces are fit for a princess. His Fall 2018 collection is no exception.
