NYFW: Bottega Veneta's Fall 2018 collection is a love letter to New York City

Updated

Bottega Veneta's Fall 2018 show was as grand as the city it was dedicated to.

German-born designer Tomas Maier brought out all the stops at New York Fashion Week with the unveiling of his latest collection at the American Stock Exchange.

The show was no doubt a star-studded affair, with superstars Gigi Hadid (who closed the show) and Kaia Gerber among the models walking down the runway, and Hollywood A-listers like Priyanka Chopra and Salma Hayek looking flawless as ever sitting in the front row.

From the moment the show began, Maier's New York City inspiration shone through. From multi-colored wool dresses inspired by the grillwork of NYC elevators to silk pajamas epitomizing the effortlessly cool aesthetic of the city, there was no shortage of breathtaking moments.

Hadid closed the show in a dreamy ruffled lace gown, which featured a geometric design down her torso. She kept her hair and makeup utterly simple, putting all the attention on the gown's intricate details.
