NYFW: Tom Ford takes us back to the '80s with his Fall 2018 collection

Updated

Tom Ford transported us back to the '80s with his Fall 2018 collection.

The designer debuted his latest collection in front of a packed house at the Park Avenue Armory on Thursday night -- and it didn't disappoint. Animal spots, sequins, animal spots with sequins and psychedelic colors filled the runway in the form of dramatic, oversized coats, leggings and mini dresses.

Another fixture on the runway? Thick, black leather headbands worn by models Kaia Gerber and Binx Walton.

All eyes were on Gerber as she hit the runway in a pair of sequined, zebra-print leggings with fishnet stockings underneath, a black coat, oversized hoop earrings and Ford's bespoke accessory. The Fashion Week darling has been a fixture on runways all over the world ever since making her debut last September, so we'll definitely be seeing more of Cindy Crawford's daughter as the week continues.

Ford's strongest suit is his impeccable tailoring skills, and he proved that he's still got it with the fierce power suits peppered throughout the show. His red-and-black cheetah print suit will no doubt be found on a red carpet in the near future.

One of the most head-turning moments of the show was when a model hit the runway carrying a clutch with "Pussy Power" emblazoned on the front -- no doubt a nod to the #MeToo movement.

As expected, Ford's front row featured some famous faces, including Julianne Moore and La La Anthony.
