Best Bites: Bacon, ranch and sour cream ring dip

Score a touchdown with your friends with this decadent bacon, ranch and sour cream ring dip! This easy-to-make appetizer is guaranteed to be a hit at any party you go to.


  • 13 frozen dinner rolls
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup mayonnaise
  • 8 oz shredded Colby Jack cheese
  • ⅓ cup sliced green onion
  • ⅓ cup chopped bacon
  • 1 tbsp powdered ranch dressing
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • ⅓ cup chopped bacon
  • Chopped green onion
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp powdered ranch dressing
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder


  1. Grease the outer rim of a 5 inch bowl and place into a 10-inch cast iron skillet.
  2. Place the frozen dinner rolls around the edge of the bowl and allow them to rise for 3-4 hours.
  3. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, garlic, sour cream, shredded cheese, green onion and bacon. Mix the ingredients together using a hand mixer.
  5. In a separate saucepan, melt butter and add garlic powder, ranch dressing and stir.
  6. Remove bowl from skillet, and scoop dip mixture into the center of the dinner roll ring. Brush the butter mixture over the rolls. Sprinkle cheese, bacon bits and green onion over dip.
  7. Bake for 30 minutes.
  8. Remove from oven and coat cooked dinner rolls with remaining butter mixture. Garnish with green onion.
