It seems Meghan isn't just pioneering fashion and beauty trends since announcing her engagement to Prince Harry -- she's become a trendsetter in the parenting world as well!

Meghan, spelled exactly like the future royal, is predicted to be in the running for the top 10 girls names of 2018, according to the popular parenting website Mother & Baby. In 2016, Meghan, with a gh, was the 881st most popular name in 2016 -- with 42 babies sporting the moniker.

But because of the upcoming royal wedding, it's expected to surge in popularity. According to the site, the moniker is of Welsh origin, meaning 'pearl.'

Royal names have continued to rank high on the site's annual list of baby names. In 2017, Harry ranked at number 8 for boys, with George at number 6 and William following at number 11.

This is not the first time the royals have impacted the parenting world. In 2016, George was the third most popular name for boys. Charlotte was 'one of the highest' climbing names that same year, ranking in 12th place after the princess' birth in 2015. Additionally, Elizabeth, a moniker shared both by the queen and Princess Charlotte, rose to 38th place.
