Who doesn't love a hearty plate of good ole' spaghetti? This recipe is a creative twist on your favorite Italian dish. Made with savory beef and sausage, heaping portions of tomatoes and a dollop of cream cheese for some extra goodness, this dish will be a hit at any group gathering!
16 oz cooked spaghetti
16 oz ground beef
8 oz Italian sausage
1 chopped yellow onion
3 minced garlic cloves
28 oz canned crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 tbsp Italian seasoning
1 tsp salt
4 oz cream cheese
1 cup Italian shredded cheese blend
Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and grease a 10-inch pan.
In a pot, add ground beef, Italian sausage, minced garlic, chopped yellow onion and saute for 5 minutes, making sure to break up the meat.
Once the meat is cooked, add the tomato paste, crushed tomatoes, salt and Italian seasoning. Stir and simmer on low.
Remove 2 cups of the meat sauce and set aside.
Add the one pound of cooked spaghetti to the remaining meat sauce, stirring well to make sure the pasta is coated.
Add the three beaten eggs and stir pasta mixture again.
Pour the spaghetti mixture into the greased pan (make sure to line with aluminum foil) and cover with slices of cream cheese. Coat the pan with remaining meat sauce, and sprinkle on top the Italian shredded cheese blend.
Bake for 25 minutes until the edges of the pan are crispy.
