Adorable 5-year-old boy calls 911 to stop the Grinch from stealing Christmas

Now, this is a Christmas TyLon Pittman's family will remember forever.

Little TyLon, a 5-year-old from Mississippi, was so concerned about the Grinch ruining his family's Christmas that he decided to take action. Without the knowledge of his family, TyLon placed a handful of calls to 911 before hanging up. But when the operator called him back, the little boy mustered up his fear and issued a big warning.

"Watch out for the Grinch, because the Grinch is going to steal Christmas, OK?" you can hear TyLon affirm in the now-viral audio clip of the call.

"It's definitely been the most interesting thing that's happened, as far as 911 hang-ups, for me," the operator tells TyLon's dad, who quickly realizes what his son's been up to after watching the iconic cartoon.

But then, it gets better.

Byram police officer Lauren Deville wanted to ensure TyLon felt safe from the Grinch, so she made a quick stop at the Pittman house. And on Monday night, TyLon was able to "arrest" a meddling Grinch, who thanked him for saving Christmas. It was all organized by the police department.

TyLon's story went viral after his brother posted the whole story on Facebook.

He also shared with the officers that he wants to become a cop when he gets older. They kindly await his application.
