1. Use presents as accents.

Let's face it: You wrap gifts every year, but they're usually only seen a few days leading up to the holiday, right? Change the game this season by wrapping boxes of various sizes in your color scheme. It's an easy way to add holiday accents in small places.

2. Make a holiday shelf.

If you're looking to create a fun and festive holiday vignette, follow this easy suggestion! Simply take small holiday knick-knacks, like ornaments, wood signs, pine cones, etc., and dedicate some shelf space for them.

3. Add some sparkle.

Make your home feel like a winter wonderland by accenting neutral color schemes with gold and silver.

4. Create a whimsical vibe with garland.

When it comes to garland, a little can go a long way.  Find cords that fit your color scheme in an effort to add accent colors and fun texture! Use it to frame a doorway, across the fireplace mantel or even wrapped around your banisters.

5. Make a wreath from scraps.

Don't let any unused items go to waste this year! Use your garland scraps, Christmas tree ornaments and other miscellaneous leftovers from wrapping to make a fun, up-cycled wreath.

6. Set the tone in every room.

As you're decorating for the holidays, don't forget your table! A set-themed Christmas table can really add that festive spirit to every meal with your loved ones. Dress it with candle holders, silver or gold chargers, festive napkin rings and lush, natural garland.

7. Keep the cold where it belongs -- outside!

For those in chillier climates, a doormat is a must. Keep your home clean and dry by keeping the snow and ice outside the door.

8. Switch those candlesticks.

A simple way to add holiday accent colors or help establish a color scheme is to switch out your candles accordingly.

9. Jazz up your lighting.

A big holiday no-no? Don't leave your fixtures just hanging! Take advantage of your already existing décor and drape garland, lights or a sprig of mistletoe.

Well, since I'm in Texas, I figured red solo cups were a requirement. Now I'm told my cups are too small. Its not the size of your solo cup that matters, it's how you use it. 😉
I got beer, I got goth club and I got a good friend. Not a bad combination. 😊
And we're off! Hawaii, here we come. You may never be the same! #Vacation #Christmas #Family
