Will Kate Middleton be a bridesmaid at Meghan Markle's wedding? (We've got the answer)

We know the date and the champagne they'll serve, but the big question on everyone's mind as we gear up for the next royal wedding (congrats, Harry and Meg!) is this: Will Meghan Markle ask Kate Middleton to be her bridesmaid?

In a word, no. But here's why: When you think about it, it's been a whirlwind courtship—approximately 15 months total for the royal lovebirds. As a result, the sister-in-laws to be hardly know each other. (When you choose a bridesmaid, shouldn't it be someone you've known much longer than a year and some change?)

Another reason: Kate is the future queen of England. As a result, it's unlikely she'd be an attendant for another royal bride, according to experts. (Reminder: She wasn't even matron of honor at her sister Pippa's wedding, making it even more doubtful she'd assume the role here.)

But don't count her out entirely: Uncle Harry will likely want to include George and Charlotte in the proceedings, which puts Kate actively in charge of keeping them in line. It also means she gets to skirt the traditional bridesmaid garb and don an outfit of her choosing. (Pssst...let's hope it's more Alexander McQueen.)
