Victoria's Secret Fashion Show 2017: What you won't see on camera

Updated

The annual Victoria's Secret Fashion Show airs tonight (10pm on CBS) and with all the glitz and glam we saw in pictures, there's plenty of buzzworthy moments to be expected. After all, with 55 models and 87 outfits marking the biggest show ever, this production is bound to be one of the most memorable.

Here's what we know so far.

Alessandra Ambrosio took her final walk, Ming Xi took a tumble, Lais Ribeiro dominated in the $2 million Fantasy Bra and Bella Hadid absolutely slayed her second show (though sister Gigi Hadid had to drop last minute). And that's just what we garnered from the pictures -- we haven't snuck a preview of the taping, we promise!

However, we did catch up with some gorgeous Angels who let us in on what else we can expect from tonight's viewing -- and what the camera didn't catch.

On preparation

Romee: "Before the show we amp up our workouts because we're going to be in a long train on the catwalk. I really try to relax a little bit and get some "me time" so I can enjoy it once I'm there. Once you arrive there, every day there is something. And once I'm there I try to tell myself to enjoy every moment."

Josephine: "Fitting day is always super exciting because it's the big reveal -- you never know what you're going to wear. You see all these amazing pieces hanging and then they surprise you with the wings. It's just such a magical day."

On being in Shanghai

Romee: "It was my first time in China, it was a new experience and culture. I really want to go back because I haven't seen that much of Shanghai itself. But everyone was very welcoming and nice."

Josephine: "It's such a fun and sexy and vibrant city, because it feels so futuristic. For me, it's the fashion capital of Asia and where the future is. We did the show in the Mercedes Benz Arena, which literally looks like a pink spaceship. It was like 'Oh My God, we're taking off!"

Jasmine: "It was such an amazing experience to be in Shanghai. We had a great time. I had been once before, for literally 20 hours. I didn't get to see much, but this year I had four days there and got to settle in and eat the food and learn about the culture. They have really nice people."

On how this 2017 show differs from past years

Everything from the designs to the runway was a new frontier. For the first time, the Angels took the runway in Shanghai, with the show being held at the famed Mercedes Benz Arena.

Romee: "There was a super futuristic runway -- just a whole new experience," explained Romee.

Josephine: "This is the biggest show we've ever done. We've never traveled this far east ever and never had that big of an audience. We even had a moshpit of fans in the front. I'm used to being in smaller rooms and this year we had up to 4,000 people."

Jasmine: "This time around it was different for me because it was in Shanghai. We had the Punk Collection that Balmain and Victoria's Secret did -- it brought such a nice spin to the show. It was very rocker and badass -- I think the girls all looked really strong and powerful."

On standout outfits

The outfits, as in the past, were divided into various segments, comprising of different themes, chromatics and outfits. This year's show featured six different themes, including Punk Angel, Porcelain Angels, a Winter's Tale, Millennial Nation, Goddesses and Nomadic Adventure.

Romee: "I really like the Punk Angel segment, where we showed 23 pieces of the new Balmain collection. I think it's really cool how Balmain and Victoria's Secret both stand for empowering strong, confident women. For them to do a collaboration is such a strong choice."

Josephine: "This year I was lucky and I got to wear this amazing piece from the Balmain collection. I wore these panties that's all strappy and sexy. I love this whole collection because I feel like I can just wear it with anything. I don't even have to put a top on because I kind of want to just show it off. I had another bodysuit from the Porcelain Angel collection and all I wanted to do is put on a sexy skirt and just walk out..."

Jasmine: "My favorite piece of the show was Lais' fantasy bra. I think it was one of the most amazing bras Victoria's Secret has ever done. It just went really well...and it fit on her really nicely. She's one of my best friends so it was really nice to see her sign and enjoy the moment."

What you might not see on camera

Josephine: "There are so many funny moments backstage! In the morning, we start off in our robes, kind of like a big slumber party. You have your breakfast and you have your makeup done and you start playing music. It becomes a party. And then before the show, wings are flying, people are shouting. It's such magical but crazy chaos, but super organized." They also have a "pizza party" after the show.

Jasmine: "I walked to Harry Styles. We actually met the night before and was like, 'When I walk on the runway, you have to look at me and we have to do something'. We do this funny hand movement and he actually had a really great interaction with Candice [Swanepoel].

On getting that perfect Angel walk

Romee: "I think you should be confident in your walk and show you're enjoying it."

Josephine: "My best advice I've gotten is to wear heels like slippers. Be comfortable, wear them everywhere. When I first started as a model, I had no idea how to wear them. I had a cleaning job back then, so I actually vacuumed around in my heels. For some reason, that made me learn really quick because of all the awkward angles and you had to stay steady."

Jasmine: "A smile, a fierce confident walk, a bombshell hairdo, some lashes and a Balmain and Victoria's Secret punk outfit!

On that much-deserved time off

Romee: "I'm going to Dubai with my boyfriend for 5 days. From there, we're flying to Amsterdam to spend Christmas with the fam."

Josephine: "I'm hosting! I just got a place in Nashville. For the first time in my life, I'm hosting Christmas. My family is flying in and my boyfriend's family is flying in so we're doing a mix of Danish and American Christmas.

Jasmine: "I'm spending a lot of time with my family. I'm from California so I go home as much as I can to be with them and just relax and try and unwind a little bit."

You can watch this year's show 10pm on November 28th on CBS.

The VS x Balmain collection launches on November 29th. Here's a preview of the collection.
