Melania Trump is chic as ever in LBD for opioid crisis speech

Updated

Melania Trump sure knows how to rock an LBD.

The first lady spoke in front of a packed audience at the White House on Thursday, alongside President Trump, to express her commitment to fighting the opioid crisis.

"I have learned so much from those and I know there are many more stories to tell," Trump said. "What I found to be the common theme with all of these stories is this can happen to any of us. Drug addiction can take your friends, neighbors and your family."

In a heartwarming moment, the first lady also kissed a recovering opioid addict on the cheek and told her that she is in her prayers.

For the event, the former model look sophisticated as ever in a figure-hugging black dress with billowy sleeves that hit just below her knees. She polished off her look with a pair of pointy black stilettos.

Melania looked absolutely radiant, sporting a dewy makeup look with a hint of bronzer to accentuate her cheeks, a swipe of pink gloss on her lips and some mascara on her full lashes.

The head-to-toe black look comes after a surprise appearance in Michigan where she urged middle schoolers to combat bullying with kindness. For the outing, Melania dazzled in a pink blazer that she paired with grey trousers. She was spotted taking photos with the students -- and it looked like she was really enjoying her time at the school.

Just days before, she presented her iconic Inauguration Ball gown to the Smithsonian with the dress' designer Hervé Pierre as her date.
