Bridal Week: Reem Acra Fall/Winter 2018 collection makes our dreams come true

Updated

Reem Acra, candidly speaking, is the be-all, end-all of bridal designers -- for us, at least.

The Lebanese creative has been making a name for herself since launching her own line in 1997, instantaneously becoming a go-to for the Hollywood elite, socialites and political fashionistas (including first lady Melania Trump). We can spend hours talking about her red carpet creations, and even longer gawking over her bridal works of art.

For her newest Fall/Winter 2018 collection, Acra invited us to a setting that is only worthy of an Acra show: The New York Public Library, with its grandiose columns, marble tiling and cavernous ceilings, was a sight to behold itself. Fill it with pure white masterpieces, exquisitely detailed veils, beads and flowy tulle, and you have one heck of a presentation.

Even the backs of the gowns are detailed to perfection:

"We are protected. The spirit of saints," described her show notes -- and what followed in suit was the marvelous collection you'll see in the slideshow above. Amongst our favorites include the gold and silver metallic embroidered lace gown, the organza skirt and the lace gown with floral detailing. But let's be real, Acra makes it really hard to choose a favorite.
