The best pumpkin patches in America

Autumn is here — and if you feel like apple orchards are overhyped, it's time to switch it up and visit a pumpkin patch, it is October.

Luckily, Travel Channel has put together a list of the best ones all over the country.

It's The Great Pumpkin Farm, Charlie Brown. The farm in Clarence, New York is not your mama's pumpkin patch — with everything from pumpkin slingshots and a zombie paintball train.

Tom Thumb Pumpkin Patch in Dallas is a whole pumpkin VILLAGE — featuring scavenger hunts for kids, a hay bale maze and a whopping 90,000 pumpkins.

Siegel's Cottonwood Farm — about an hour outside of Chicago — has a climbable tire mountain and an oversized '100 YEARS AND STILL ROCKIN'' chair.

And you won't want to miss the pumpkin drop & smash — an annual tradition where they drop an enormous pumpkin from a crane.

This spot in Dixon, California isn't a regular pumpkin patch, it's a cool pumpkin patch. Literally, it's called Cool Patch Pumpkins — and Guinness World Records has certified its 60-acre corn maze as the world's largest...

Pumpkin Hollow in Arkansas has a double zip line — adorable little pedal tractors and a gourd trellis. And c'mon, who doesn't love a gourd trellis?
