Face shape may reveal if you're dating a cheater

How can you tell if you're being cheated on? Apparently, it's written all over your partner's face: Men with short, wide faces have higher sex drives and may be more likely to cheat.

So ladies, stay away from Stewie Griffin when he gets older -- that's according to research from Nipissing University in Canada and published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior. Researchers conducted two studies about sex and face shape involving over 300 undergrad students.

The first study found men and women with higher facial-width-to-height ratios, or FWHR for short, were more likely to report higher sex drives. The second study showed a similar sex drive correlation and a link between having a short, wide face and casual sex and the intention to cheat among men.

But the cheating connection was only found in men with square, wide faces, not women, according to Seeker. Researchers think these behaviors may be linked to sex hormones such as testosterone.

A wide face may mean more testosterone exposure, which may mean a higher sex drive, which may make the person want to cheat. But don't take a tape measure to your partner's face just yet -- as Forbes points out, the study has its flaws.

Correlations don't prove links and asking college kids about their sex drives and how often they cheat might result in some bogus answers.

Either way, the study shows it could be the first time "why the long face" is considered a compliment.
