NYFW: Rosie Assoulin's Spring/Summer collection bursts with bold color and show-stopping shapes

Reds and yellows and oh, that orchid!

Rosie Assoulin pumps up the color in her spring/summer 2018 collection, which she debuted at New York Fashion Week on Monday. Instead of adhering to a few common themes, the designer touched on everything from khaki workwear to red-carpet-ready gowns in one of the brightest, boldest presentations of the week.

Particularly eye-catching looks include a torso-baring drapey red top and skirt combination, as well as an amethyst floor-length number with teardrop cutouts.

Just in case every color under the rainbow wasn't quite accounted for, Assoulin included a white dress dotted with asymmetric spots from the whole spectrum. Mod '60s-inspired sunglasses added to the vintage aesthetic of the look.

Special mention also has to go to a "modern schoolgirl" ensemble of yellow plaid paints and a black plaid top, which was worn under a dress code-friendly white blouse. Cher Horowitz would approve!
