What last name will Prince George use in school?

Crayons? Check. Lunch pail? Check. Last name? Erm...

Prince George started school today and the world can't get enough of his less-than-enthusiastic demeanor (that face!). While most of his classmates don't possess royal titles, George is putting his best plebeian foot forward and taking on a typical last name, Cambridge (ahem, merely for educational purposes).

Of course, we (and George, natch) would love anything more than for his teachers and peers to always refer to him as His Royal Highness Prince George. I.e. "His Royal Highness Prince George, please stop picking your nose."

But, his new moniker is quite fitting—he is Prince George of Cambridge and his parents are the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.

The adoption of Cambridge is very similar to when uncle Harry and dad William attended school and used the surname Wales. It's also a sign that the Duke and Duchess are following in the footsteps of Princess Diana in an effort to ensure George grows up in a normal environment.

For the record, we'd happily go by one name...like Madonna, Beyoncé or Oprah, but #respect George Cambridge.
