Pregnant anchor Kristen Nicole slams users offended by her tight dress: 'Use your time better'

Award-winning anchor Kristen Nicole had the perfect response to viewers who are "offended" by her pregnancy.

The morning news anchor at "Good Day Chicago" is also a mother of one and in her third trimester of pregnancy. In her years of sitting at the anchor's desk, no one has ever complained about her appearance --- until now.

Nicole shared a series of photos of herself wearing the same form-fitting blue dress from August 2016 to today:

"Let me save you some trouble," she captioned the post with more than 1,000 reactions. "My email address is Kristen.Nicole@foxtv.com, but if you're writing to tell me that you're offended by the sight of my baby bump, don't hold your breath waiting for a response. It's not coming. I wear this dress probably once a month. No one has EVER had a problem with it. Wear it almost 8 months pregnant?? Whoa...disgusting, right? (insert massive eye roll)."

She continued: "To Karen, Gene and Sabrina who wrote to me today, use your time better. Pay someone a compliment. Do a good deed. To everyone else who has sent messages of congratulations and well wishes, you are keeping me motivated through these last 6 weeks. We're finally in the home stretch! I have had a healthy, comfortable, stress-free pregnancy. My husband, son and I are beyond excited to meet our new addition. Thank you for being a part of our journey!"

According to Nicole, she received three separate emails on Wednesday -- one woman accused her of wearing a fake baby bump to "boost ratings," another asked "when will you start wearing dresses fit for pregnancy" and then the last person told her to "stop wearing tight dresses -- they don't do you any favors."

The anchor confessed that she felt self-conscious about her changing body five months into her pregnancy, but has felt confident ever since her co-workers told her to embrace it. She also said that receiving those negative messages "was disheartening."

However, fans praised Nicole for her incredible honesty.

One Facebook user said: "Can't believe anyone would take time out of their day to say things like that" and "You are beautiful. Ignore those who try to make someone feel bad, because they are so insecure."

Nicole isn't the first reporter who has sparked controversy for her clothing. Just last week, Canadian anchor Kelsey McEwen was body shamed by a viewer for making her pregnancy apparent in a form-fitting dress.

In Georgia, a viewer called one pregnant anchor "disgusting" for her choice in clothing, and she had the perfect response to her body shamers. More on that in the video above.
