Giada De Laurentiis' complete style transformation: From sparkly cocktail dresses to figure-hugging LBDs

Updated

Not only does Giada De Laurentiis know a thing or two about making the perfect pasta dish, she also knows how to work any red carpet she hits!

While we're used to seeing the Italian-born chef on our television screens wearing a casual jean outfit -- paired with an apron, of course! -- she sure does know how to dress up on the red carpet.

Soon after her show "Everyday Italian" premiered in 2003, De Laurentiis rocked an array of ensembles on the red carpet -- the now-47-year-old star wasn't afraid to experiment with a bold print or bright color, but a form-fitting LBD was always her go-to.

Through the years, the Food Network personality's style has evolved. For more low-key events, De Laurentiis is usually seen rocking a sleeveless, mid-length dress in an eye-catching color that perfectly shows off her flawless figure. It's clear that the cookbook author loves color -- the more the better. We think she looks incredible in hues of pinks and reds as it really brings out her skin tone!

Of course, LBDs have remained a mainstay in her wardrobe. At the 2014 Daytime Emmy Awards, De Laurentiis hit the red carpet in one of her sexiest looks to date -- a strapless black dress with a deep-V neckline that she paired with peep toe pumps. She wore her gorgeous brunette tresses in a low chignon bun and kept her makeup simple with some light blush on her cheeks. She looked absolutely flawless!

These days, De Laurentiis is still rocking her figure-flattering tea dresses to events, but she's not afraid to experiment with trends. At a gala, she flashed some flesh in a two-piece crop top and skirt set that featured a figure-flattering red-and-black pattern.
