Woman loses her engagement ring while gardening, finds it 13 years later wrapped around a carrot

Talk about incredible!

Mary Grams, an 84-year-old woman from Canada, lost her engagement ring back in 2004 while tending to her garden.

"I went to the garden for something and I saw this long weed. For some reason, I picked it up and it must have caught on something and pulled [the ring] off," she recalled to Global News.

Like any other woman with a lost engagement ring, Grams cried "for days" and searched hours upon hours until she gave up weeks later. She then bought herself a new ring, though not as impressive, and hoped her husband wouldn't notice (he didn't).

But the seemingly heartbreaking story doesn't end there.

Flash forward to 2017 -- 13 years later -- and the lost ring was found by her son Brian Grams' wife! Brian and his wife now live on the same property.

"My wife was digging carrots for supper, and I guess she came up with a carrot that had something on it," he said.

Yup, the ring was found completely wrapped around a carrot. See for yourself:

Grams' husband passed away five years ago, but she's now reunited with the ring given to her by the love of her life. This time around, she's not letting it out of her sight!

"Anything I do outside, I'm going to take it off and it's going to stay," she said.
