Plus-size e-commerce retailer 11 Honoré shakes up the fashion world

Updated

11 Honoré is changing the world of fashion as we know it.

The e-commerce site is the first of its kind, offering all the high-end designers you know and love, now exclusively in sizes 10 through 20.

According to a 2016 study, the average clothing size among adult American women is a 16. Even if brands carry that size, chances are the selection is very limited, and that's where 11 Honoré comes in.

"High-end luxury designers were completely missing from the retail landscape in sizes 12 and above," co-founder Kathryn Retzer told Glamour. "This is something that hasn't existed for our customer and we are looking to close this gap and bring her the same luxury fashion that is available for women sizes 0 to 10."

Along with her business partner Patrick Herning, a tech entrepreneur turned marketing executive, Retzer, a fashion magazine alum, is looking to shake up the fashion industry.

The site, which launched on August 21, is stocked with plus-size pieces from Michael Kors, Prabal Gurung, Marchesa, Badly Mischka, Monique Lhuillier, Haney, La Ligne and more!

We're already lusting for pieces like this crimson red Michael Kors sheath dress or this sparkly, wedding-appropriate gown from Badgley Mischka. Check out the site here, if you dare.
