A 'coffee nap' may just change your life

If you're tired of falling asleep all day, you might want to try coffee napping.

According to the Huffington Post, coffee napping is actually simple and can help jump start your day.

All you have to do is a drink a cup of coffee before a nap.

Yes, it sounds a little bizarre.

But apparently, coffee doesn't kick in for about 30 minutes, which the Huffington post says is the right amount of time for 'an effective power nap'.

Here's why—sleeping and caffeine both block the adenosine receptors in our bodies.

Adenosine is the chemical that makes us feel tired.

A 2003 study published in the Clinical Physiology journal compared face washing, bright lights, and coffee napping to see which worked best.

And Turns out, Coffee napping had the best results.

Sleep specialist at the University of Kansas, Dr. Suzanne Stevens told Huffington Post, "If the nap can be timed just right, you can have hours of being more productive after the coffee nap."

So while it's not guaranteed, trying it out definitely can't hurt.
