Dior fall/winter 2017 Haute Couture collection unveiled with Dion, Lawrence and Portman in front row

Oh to be a fly in the sky at the breathtaking Dior Haute Couture show in Paris on Monday.

One year into her run as creative director of the beloved fashion house -- and just in time for the brand's 70th anniversary -- Maria Grazia Chiuri unveiled her fall/winter 2017 collection at the beautiful Musee des Invalides. Famous faces, including Céline Dion, Jennifer Lawrence and Natalie Portman, were on hand to take in the momentous show.

Chiuri didn't disappoint or digress with elegant sheer, pleated, tiered and tulle gowns -- but she also didn't give anyone a reason to call her predictable, with hints of menswear scattered throughout the collection.

Muted grey, tan and purple tones were met with pops of red, black velvet and standout pieces, like a colorful, quilted overcoat. Skinny belts were also featured in nearly every look that made it down the runway.

"I speak about the women," Chiuri told Vogue about her aesthetic, while also referencing the directors who came before her, such as Saint Laurent, Raf Simons and Christian Dior himself. "In this moment, my point of view, is about the reflection of the women."
