Cocktail of the Week: Red, White and Blue Boozy Smoothie

Feeling extra patriotic this weekend? Try this red, white and blue smoothie with a boozy twist. We break it all down for you below, but be sure to watch the video above to see how it's really done.

Ingredients

Blue Layer

  • 1.5 ounces of rum
  • 1 cup of blueberries, fresh or frozen
  • ⅔ cup of coconut milk
  • 5 to 8 ice cubes

White Layer

  • ⅔ cup coconut milk
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut chips
  • 6 to 8 ice cubes

Red Layer

  • 1 cup of strawberries, fresh or frozen
  • ½ cup of pitted cherries, fresh or frozen
  • ⅔ cup of coconut milk
  • 5 to 8 ice cubes

Directions

  1. Blend together ingredients for the blue layer and divide into 3 (or more) glasses. Place in freezer for 10 minutes.
  2. Repeat for each layer, freezing for at least 10 minutes in between each color.
  3. Let thaw for 10 minutes before serving.
